Burial hill is located in Plymouth (Plimouth) MA and has been used for burials since 1620. Many Mayflower passengers/pilgrims are buried here along with Governor William Bradford. The last burial took place in 1957. The oldest known stone on Burial Hill is that of Edward Gray in 1681. The earliest grave markers were made of wood and do not survive today. Also buried here is John Howland and family. He was a Mayflower passenger and one of the 13 to sign the New World Charter. My husband (Shaun May) is one of his descendants
